Part of what we really wanted to do here  was bring that community sense  and have people understand that  these towns are an incredible  viable place still that  needs to have those attractions  and needs to have people visiting them.  We know that we can provide safe food. We know that we can provide quality food. You don’t have to travel  very far to get it.  So why not support your neighbours? We are a family here.  It’s not just me. It’s a we here. We are a team and we function and we make this business run.  Through the building of Rosemont,  we ensure that we only employed  local contractors,  we tried to work with local suppliers  as much as possible,  and when we did our ceiling  of our expansion,  we found some original  of the tin stamped tiles  and worked with a local Mennonite family, and they actually stamped us  replicas of that tin to be able  to redo our entire ceiling.  My passion here on the farm  is actually growing.  So growing the vegetables,  growing the garden,  watching the progress,  seeing something  come to fruition  at the end of the season.  I think it’s a benefit to be able to offer that same produce or same option  to my local community.  We put a lot of time and effort  and care into what we produce and we like to keep  our customers returning.  I find the food is what’s picking up now. I’ve got families that are doing outings.  More people don’t have the time to cook  or spend time in the kitchen.  They want to spend time more  with their family and friends.  We do have a special   wood stone pizza oven  that all the chefs get trained on.  We bring in a lot of different produce  from local suppliers and local farmers, as well as working with local meat  providers and dairy farmers.  And it’s so easy to go farm to table  when the farms right up the road.  And the way the market got  kind of started was it’s  a self-serve market  and we used to have  people wanting potatoes.  And of course, I wouldn’t be here.  So I put them out on a pallet and  and leave them and people  put money in the  in the jar and come  and get their potatoes  all fall and one thing another.  And so it kind of evolved from that.  The products we have are cakes, cupcakes, cookies.  We do take home meals.  We sell our frozen meals  at Cheltenham General Store.  We do take out catering, sugar cookies, those are for baby showers,  weddings, birthdays.  We’re also a nut free facility,  nut free, tree nut free facility.  What’s great about  what we do with Rosemont  is we bring in a lot of the local things,  but then we also complement that  with a great deal of passion  that we have from England.  And a lot of that comes from my mum  being born in England,  and we sort of continue  to bring that over.  Being a part of the farm has always been sort of a part of who I am.  It’s part of my heritage.  I grew up knowing  the importance of the farm.  It’s sort of part of the family.  So if we can be that place  that people can stop to and experience  something new and see part of Ontario,  then we hope that  we can continue to do that.
