We had the privilege of creating a testimonial video for EFI from the US, featuring their customer Moyy, in Hamilton, Ontario. With our production, Moyy showcased how the EFI Nozomi C18000 printer empowers their operations, enabling them to meet a diverse range of customer requirements, with lightning-fast turnaround times and cost-competitive solutions. For the EFI testimonial video we setup three separate interviews in Moyy’s boardroom, showroom and quality control area. Noise from the factory floor was always present so we used a very directional microphone to capture each subject’s dialogue. Interviews are captured at 4K resolution on a Canon 1DX Mark III with a 70-200mm f2.8 L series lens. We find this combination provides the most sharpness and vibrant colours that really help our content stand out. To follow the team at work – from design and printing to distribution – we shot 4K at 60 frames per second on a Canon 1DX Mark III and a 24mm f1.4 L series lens mounted on a DJI Ronin Gimbal. The 24mm lens is an awesome lens for storytelling and the very wide aperture lets us dial in focus on specific subjects while throwing foreground and background elements out of focus as much as possible. We love isolating subjects this way to provide a clean look in cluttered or visually noisy environments.
