Our Origin Story
We are partners in Life and Work who believe in each other and the power of storytelling to transform lives. We are originally from the Caribbean where we had the honour of producing stories that truly mattered featuring athletes, educators, engineers and leaders on the frontline of development. We were wildly successful, produced content for the UN, Red Bull, ESPN and covered some of the region’s highest profile sports and political milestones for 20 years.
In 2018 we relocated with our kids to Ontario, Canada and naturally gravitated toward stories of significance for economic development, education and municipal sectors.
James O’Connor
James is a prolific photographer who has worked on assignment in over 15 countries. His work spans every sector and is immediately recognizable for its candour and flair.
Athletes in particular feature significantly in James’ portfolio – in line with the studio’s natural penchant for positive stories about youth and sports development. His work is the perfect storm of Action, Social Responsibility, Destination Marketing, Heavy Industry, Food and People.
“Just about the only photograph I don’t get excited about taking is a beautiful sunset. I’m here to help fix things that are broken and celebrate the achievement. The camera is a very powerful tool to do that”.
James holds a degree in sociology (Anglia Ruskin University). He’s also the driving force behind the music of Comma Echo.

Miranda O’Connor – Managing Director, Project Manager, Co-Founder
Miranda O’Connor
With 15+ years in communications and production, Miranda is responsible for management of the project and is the main point of contact with our clients. As Project Manager, her role covers formulating a plan to meet the objectives of the project while adhering to an approved budget and timeline. She assesses the scope of the project, resources necessary to complete it, anticipated time and financial requirements, communicates with relevant stakeholders, plans for execution and maintenance.
Miranda leads the team and assigns tasks, sets dead-lines, provides necessary resources, and meets regularly with industry stakeholders. She is responsible for resolving any issues that may arise and communicating effectively with team members and the client to ensure the project stays on track.
Miranda holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability (University of Toronto), MBA (Edinburgh Business School) and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (York University).
